The Thermo Nano Wool is Zvizzer's detailing wool cutting pad, the tool for hard paint and heavy defects that foam struggles to shift. Its wool face cuts harder and faster than a foam pad, clearing deep scratches and sanding marks on tough clear coats where you need real cutting power. As the successor to the legendary Doodle wool pad, it brings that aggressive wool cut into the thermo range.

Behind the wool sits a thermostable foam layer that keeps the cutting force constant and the pad durable through intensive use, so the cut stays consistent from start to finish. It is at its best on a rotary with an abrasive polish, delivering fast correction on hard paint, and you then step down to a foam pad to refine the finish. This is your first stage when the defects are too deep for foam to reach quickly.

Application

The Thermo Nano Wool suits rotary machines and works best with an abrasive cutting polish. Fit it to a clean backing plate and prime the wool lightly with polish before the first set.

Dispense an amount to suit the pad size and your working area, then spread it over the section before bringing the machine up to working speed. Work in firm, overlapping passes and let the wool cut before moving on.

Wool holds more polish and heat than foam, so keep it clean as you work and let it cool between sets. Rinse in warm water and air-dry or use Pad Cleaner for faster, efficient turnaround, then tease the fibres back up once dry using a brush or airline.
