Zvizzer Marine Frisbee Wool Pad - Heavy Wool Cutting for Weathered Gelcoat

The Marine Frisbee is the wool cutting pad in Zvizzer's marine range, the most aggressive correction option for gelcoat and marine paint that a foam pad alone cannot bring back. Its natural wool face cuts harder and faster than foam, tearing into heavy oxidation, chalking and deep defects on badly weathered hulls. When a boat has been left to the sun and salt for too long, this is the pad that makes the first real difference.

The wool sits on a thermostable foam backing that keeps the cut consistent and the pad durable through the heat heavy correction generates, so it holds its cutting power far longer than a standard wool pad. Its flat, frisbee-style face spreads that cut evenly across the large surfaces of a hull, and it pairs naturally with a heavy marine compound for maximum correction in the fewest passes. Use it as your opening stage on severe defects, then step down to a foam pad to refine what it leaves behind.

The heaviest cut in the marine range, for paint that needs bringing back.

Application

The Marine Frisbee suits rotary machines for maximum cut and is made to run with a heavy marine cutting compound. Fit it to a clean backing plate and prime the wool lightly with compound before the first set.

Dispense an amount to suit the pad size and your working area, then spread it over the section before bringing the machine up to working speed. Work in firm, overlapping passes and let the wool cut before moving on.

Wool holds more compound and heat than foam, so keep it clean as you work and let it cool between sets. Rinse in warm water and air-dry or use Pad Cleaner for fast, efficient turnaround, then tease the fibres back up once dry with a brush.
