Zvizzer UFO Thermo Pad Grey - Hard One-Step Correction for Heavy Defects

The Grey UFO is the hardest pad in Zvizzer's Speed Polish system, the one to reach for when paint needs real correction. Matched to Speed Polish, it cuts out heavy defects, deep scratches, harsh swirls and P1500-level sanding marks, then refines in the same step, so you correct and finish without changing pads. Its signature is cutting power with control: the firm foam drives the polish hard into the defect, while the UFO design keeps that power even and predictable across the panel.

That control comes from the design. The tapered UFO contour and bevelled edges let polish flow cleanly instead of pooling at the rim, so even at full cut you avoid the hard-edge holograms a square pad can leave, and pressure spreads evenly for a consistent result. Behind the foam, a PU layer stops polish soaking into the Velcro, which protects the pad, keeps it balanced and running with less vibration, and extends its life. The thermostable open-cell foam holds its shape and cut under the heat of heavy correction and lasts five to six times longer than conventional foam. Start with Grey on serious defects, then step down the range to refine milder damage.

Application

The Grey UFO works with both rotary and orbital machines and is made for the one-step Speed Polish. Fit to a backing plate and prime the face lightly with polish before the first set.

Dispense an amount to suit the pad size and your working area, then spread it over the section before bringing the machine up to working speed. Work in firm, overlapping passes and let the pad and polish cut before moving on.

Keep the face clean as you go, since a loaded pad loses its bite. Have a spare on rotation and let each pad cool between sets. Rinse in warm water and air-dry, or use Pad Cleaner for fast turnaround. Available in 95mm, 145mm and 170mm diameters to fit 80mm, 125mm, and 150mm backing plates.
